Team tasks
At the least, you or your delegates need to:Note: there are penalties ($$, defaults!!) which a team may incur if they forget the cards, net/flags or game sheets. I'd recommend telling your volunteers about them so that they will be less likely to forget.
Optionally, you may also want to assign people to:
Tournament organizer
You may want to assign one person to organize players for any tournaments your team or your players want to enter. Check with the president and/or previous coaches to find out what tournaments there are.Game and Practice Attendance
Someone must ensure you will have enough players for each game.Card and Roster checking
Bring the cards and roster to every game. Hand the cards out and collect them. Check the opposition's cards. Have the official team roster from ITRegistrar on hand in case anyone wants to see it. The EODSA is getting very sticky about this -- check out the penalties. In 2006, they went through all the game sheets at the end of the year looking for players without cards. If a team played one, their win (or loss) was changed to a default.Shirts
Shirts:First Aid Kit
Equip, maintain and bring the first aid kit to all games and practices. Put the printout of players' emergency info in it. Note that Murphy's law ensures that any time the first aid kit is not at a game or practice, that will be the time you need it. The corollory is that if you make sure the kit is always available, there won't be any injuries. :)Net, Corner Flags etc
Bring the net, pegs, velcro, hammer, 2 corner flags and ladder to the game and practice. Set up and take down the net and flags at the game and, if requested, at the practice. (Corner flags are easily forgotten -- watch out!)Balls
Bring the balls early to both game and practice. Pump them up.Game sheets
Game sheets: fill out (or, finally in 2009, I hope, print off) the game sheet for each game and have it ready 20 min before the start timeWinter equipment
Winter equipment is minimal: shirts, first-aid kit and balls.Winter tasks
